[See the latest 2023 ranking of Singapore university degree programmes.]
The top degree programmes this year are computing, medicine and law, in that order.
As with last year, one surprise is the Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours graduates. With a mean starting salary of $5,798, the degree programme ranks 1st in our ranking table. However, if you check the survey results, the data was based on a small sample size. The high average could be due to a handful of extreme outliers.
In the top 10 of our latest Graduate Employment Survey ranking (excluding the Yale-NUS one), computing and business clinched 3 spots each. Law and medicine 2 spots each.
In terms of employability, Music, Naval Architecture and Computational Biology are at the bottom.
In total, 139 degree programmes feature in this ranking.

A lot of graduates have been working from home since the pandemic happened. Now that the situation is getting much better, they are kind of required to go back to being office-based but I think they are trying to propose staying at home.

It’s important to keep in mind that when data is based on a small sample size, the results may not accurately represent the entire population. It’s possible that the high average starting salary for Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours graduates is due to a few individuals who secured high-paying jobs, rather than being representative of the entire graduating class.
Therefore, while it’s encouraging to see the success of the graduates from this program, it’s important to be cautious in drawing conclusions solely based on the average starting salary. Other factors such as job satisfaction, career growth opportunities, and work-life balance should also be taken into consideration when evaluating the success of a degree program. https://huletttattoo.com

It’s always important to consider the sample size and other factors when interpreting rankings and survey results. While the Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours programme may have ranked first in terms of mean starting salary, it’s possible that the data is not representative of the overall experience of graduates from the programme.
It’s also worth noting that the ranking of degree programmes can vary depending on the criteria used to evaluate them. While computing, medicine, and law may be the top-ranked programmes based on starting salaries, other factors such as job satisfaction, career advancement opportunities, and overall quality of education may be important considerations for students as well.
Ultimately, students should carefully consider their own goals and priorities when selecting a degree programme, rather than relying solely on rankings or survey results. It’s also a good idea to research the programmes and talk to current students or alumni to get a better sense of what the experience is like. https://huletttattoo.com
