Graduate Employment Survey 2020 (Published 2021)

[See the latest 2023 ranking of Singapore university degree programmes.]

The top degree programmes this year are computing, medicine and law, in that order.

As with last year, one surprise is the Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours graduates. With a mean starting salary of $5,798, the degree programme ranks 1st in our ranking table. However, if you check the survey results, the data was based on a small sample size. The high average could be due to a handful of extreme outliers.

In the top 10 of our latest Graduate Employment Survey ranking (excluding the Yale-NUS one), computing and business clinched 3 spots each. Law and medicine 2 spots each.

In terms of employability, Music, Naval Architecture and Computational Biology are at the bottom.

In total, 139 degree programmes feature in this ranking.

According to the information you provided, the top degree programmes this year, in order of popularity, are computing, medicine, and law. However, there is a surprise addition to the list, which is the Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours programme. It ranked first in the ranking table for mean starting salary, with graduates earning an average of $5,798.

It’s important to note that the data for the Yale-NUS programme was based on a small sample size, which means the results may not be representative of the entire cohort. The high average starting salary could be influenced by a few individuals with exceptionally high salaries, which are considered outliers. It’s always advisable to interpret such data with caution and consider the sample size and potential outliers when assessing the results. https://ibisegozi.com/

  5. It appears that you’re discussing the top degree programs based on certain criteria such as starting salaries and employability. You’ve mentioned the top three programs this year (computing, medicine, and law) and noted some interesting observations and surprises, particularly the Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours graduates and their high mean starting salary. You’ve also highlighted the distribution of spots among different fields in the top 10 of your Graduate Employment Survey ranking. https://cincinnatiseo.org/

  6. You are right. The mean starting salary of $5,798 for Yale-NUS Bachelor of Science with Honours graduates is based on a small sample size of only 10 graduates. This means that the high average could be due to a handful of extreme outliers.
