Data released in February 2023 by the Department of Statistics show that the median monthly household income from work is $10,099 in 2022.
The median monthly household income from work per household member is $3,287.
These figures are for resident households with at least one employed household member. The figures include employer CPF contributions and one-twelfth of annual bonuses.
From the same batch of data released, we know that households living in HDB 5-room and executive flats have an average monthly household income of $13,814. For condo households, the figure is $21,497. For landed households, it is $26,659.
As always, those in the upper echelons make much more. The families in the top 10% (“top decile”) make an average of $31,430, which is disproportionately high. This figure is 42% more than what the next decile makes, and the figures for the remaining deciles* go down quite linearly:
