You can find in today’s Straits Times a list of the top 5% highest paying jobs. The list, which is based on a Manpower Ministry’s report, is not very different from what I posted in my last year’s top 100 jobs post.
Here’s the list (the figures are median monthly gross wages*):
- Specialised surgeon – $12,750
- Managing director – $12,000
- General manager – $11,200
- Commodities futures broker – $9,500
- Company director – $9,000
- Hydrographic surveyor – $8,960
- Financial futures dealer and broker – $8,348
- Treasury manager – $7,600
- Risk management manager – $7,500
- Legal service manager – $7,304
- Securities dealer and broker – $7,000
- Legal officer – $6,637
- Finance operations manager – $6,350
- Engineering manager – $6,261
- Research and development manager – $6,187
- Foreign exchange dealer and broker – $6,080
- Advocate and solicitor – $6,040
- Creative director (advertising) – $6,000
- Computer and information systems manager – $5,987
- Computer operations and network manager – $5,866
- Technical manager – $5,800
* The wages consist of only basic and gross monthly wages, and exclude bonuses and profit sharing.

This list is crazy – missed out so many other jobs
This list has missed out jobs like Pilots,Teachers and so many other high paying jobs…. this is misleading for foreigners.
