This year’s mid-year bonus for civil servants has just been announced by the Public Service Division (PSD).
Every civil servant will get a mid-year AVC bonus of 0.5 month. AVC is the acronym for Annual Variable Component.
In addition, low-wage civil servants will get an increment in their monthly salary, over and above their annual increment in 2017:
“Civil servants in Grades IV and V of the Operations Support Scheme (OSS) will receive a built-in wage increase of $15 and $20 respectively”
The mid-year AVC bonus for all civil servants and the wage increase for low-wage civil servants will be paid in July 2017.
