i m surprised that $5,300/month is top 25 salary.
Man I can’t believe I’m in between Nr. 12 & 13…
I think MOM is deliberately keeping the numbers low to prevent wage inflation.
This list looks as if it came from 10 years ago. The field of finance nowadays is ALL computer driven, so much so that Goldman Sachs has 3 times more people working on software compared to traders, etc. Where are all the front office software developers that work directly with the traders? Most of those people are paid more than the so called “Computer and information systems manager” above.
Don’t believe me, just look at efinancialcareers.sg (IT jobs section). 130K basic (plus 3-4 months bonus) is quite the norm nowadays.
the number of software people in front office, the so called quants and quant developers, are not that many compared to the hordes of IT & software teams supporting the back end systems (yeah, the miserable mid to back office people).

how much is the starting pay of a commercial/personal banker? if you have a degree. if you only hold a diploma, is it even possible to be a banker?
