Good news. According to a report in the Business Times today, the IT and banking sectors are sizzling hot at the moment.
Despite paying top salaries, employers are still facing a shortage of talented professionals in these sectors.
The number of job positions has grown significantly compared to last year.
Sectors currently facing a supply crunch for talent include: banking and finance, legal, IT, research science, and even manufacturing.
Said a recruitment expert:
“Banks are expanding areas of their business such as Basel II, operational risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting, which traditionally haven’t been based in Singapore, and which require people with specific expertise and knowledge of global banking regulations.”
How about working as an IT professional in a bank? 🙂
